Small wineries have been advised as receiving some relief on paperwork, having to return excise payments to Customs only once or twice a year depending on size. We have been liaising with the Government and NZ Customs at the moment to determine what it means for you if you warehouse at Wineworks. We now have a formal response from the Minister from Economic development, along the lines of the Government did what it could to provide cashflow relief, but was aware that it would only benefit about 350 of NZ’s 700 wineries.
