From hand stacking containers, to the plant leadership team; Warrick has enjoyed quite the ride with WineWorks.

Warrick started with us back 2010 after using his rather handy rugby skills as a way to see the world from his home in South Africa. Warrick joined Wine Bottlers as it was known then, for a short term role hand-stacking 5-6 containers per day – at ~1000 cases per container he was fit for the role.

Before long he was recruited to assist the Drygoods team and was scheduling the bottle supply – a pretty critical part of our operation, before moving quickly through roles to become Manager of the Kendrick Road warehouse and part of the plant leadership team. In this role he managed around 30 people, and oversaw the loading of 20 containers per day (but not all by hand!).

Warrick says whenever he was presented with an opportunity he took it, but it is his willingness to learn, adapt and embrace new challenges that has been reflected in his rapid rise.

A recent change has seen Warrick move into the Quality Managers role – a whole new set of challenges for him!
